So the end of 2017 has been a crazy month for us. December has been very, very busy, partially due to the fact that a lot of homeowners are wanting to take advantage of the summer weather conditions here in southeast Queensland, and save lots of money on their power bills and lets not forget that the Solar STC rebate for will be changing as of January 1st with the amount of STC’s issued for each solar install being reduced therefore technically increasing the cost of a solar installation.
This particular residential solar power installation was completed in a suburb called Grange in North Brisbane, Queensland 4051 is the postcode. So anyone else looking to get a solar power quote in the Brisbane area, please feel to complete the questionnaire below.
Our client had a very large double story house in Grange and a very large ducted air conditioning system throughout the home. Now obviously ducted air conditioning is an extremely high user of energy of electricity. So our clients were looking to reduce those costs as they had just had a very large increase of their electricity prices in July. Whilst the customer’s power bill was under $500 at the time we started discussing Solar for their home. We all agreed to continue with the 5kwh solar systems purely so that they could allow themselves to use more electricity and not be scared or worried about receiving bill shock because they had used the air conditioning over the
Summer.
Now like most homeowner at the moment there’s always questions around the viability of solar power batteries for your home. In this particular situation we all agreed it was probably best not to install batteries or a hybrid inverter purely because our clients day time use was already quite high. Every power bill we asses is completely different and in some situations it makes perfect sense to install batteries, you can read more about one of our recent battery jobs by clicking here.
The installation consists of 20 Phono Solar, Solar Panels Paired up with a Fronius Symo sting inverter. The fronius inverter was set up with a 10 year warranty for peace of mind.
As with all out installations the client has online monitoring to keep tabs on the performance of the solar to make sure our clients returns are as good as they should be.
